Tour Info

Join the Tornado Hunter team for the bucket list trip you always wanted. Spend 8 days with the crew in Tornado Alley as part of the team. Storm chasing is a team game and we need all hands on deck. You will not be an innocent bystander…the regular vacation rules do not apply. Work the radar, navigate, learn how to forecast severe weather and get into the heart of the action.

If you are a photographer, this trip has an added bonus for you. You will learn how to make your camera sing as we criss-cross the great plains in search of the best that mother nature can dish out. Photographers will learn advanced techniques of shooting on the fly, time-lapses, night photography, lightning and if we are lucky the granddaddy of all weather phenomena…tornadoes.

We get so many requests for ride-alongs and now we finally have the chance! At the moment we cannot confirm which members of the team will be on each tour. This will be confirmed closer to the date. Our hope is that Chris and Ricky will be on each tour however sometimes scheduling conflicts prevent this from happening.

Tour Package Details

Price:

$3600/person + taxes

Deposit:

$500 non-refundable deposit.

Travel:

Travel to and from the base city is on you. All travel related expenses with chasing is on us!

Hotel:

Accommodations provided. Based on double occupancy with another guest. If you wish for single occupancy there will be an $800 additional fee.

Meals:

Meals are your responsibility! We will try to have one sit-down meal every day!

Additional:

Instruction and education about severe weather/photography. A digital video download recap including highlights from your tour. An Exclusive Tornado Hunters Tour shirt.

The Team

About Us

Chris Chittick

Chris graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Business in 2004. Chris went on to star in Discovery Channel’s hit television show Storm Chasers. Originally from Greenville, Michigan, Chris has literally taken the world by storm. With appearances on Good Morning America, CBS The Early Show, CNN, Piers Morgan, Fox News and CBS News, Chittick is one of the nation’s leading experts on extreme weather phenomenon. Chris has given lectures at schools across the United States and Canada on extreme weather safety.

Ricky Forbes

Ricky Forbes is the driver for Tornado Hunters and he is also an accomplished web designer, snowboard coach, dirt biker, snowmobiler, and overall an adventure-seeking adrenaline junkie. After high school, he went on to graduate from the University of Saskatchewan completing his Bachelor of Commerce. Following University Ricky tried the suit and tie gig for a couple of years and decided it wasn’t for him. His life is now dedicated to pushing the limits, pursuing adventures and living life to the fullest.
